iPeople, Inc., formerly known as Petrofields Exploration and Development Co., Inc. (Petrofields), was organized and incorporated on July 27, 1989 by Benguet Corporation to engage in petroleum and mineral exploration, development, and production. Petrofields operated as such until 1997 when the shareholders changed its name and primary purpose to that of a development and investment management company while retaining oil exploration as one of its secondary purposes. Its business interests include education and information technology through Malayan Colleges, Inc. (formerly, Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT)); Mapua Information Technology Center (MITC); Malayan Colleges Laguna, Inc. (MCLI) led by Mapua School of Engineering; Malayan High School of Sciences, Inc. (MHSSI) (formerly Pandacan Properties, Inc.); San Lorenzo Ruiz Institute of Health Sciences, Inc.; Mapua Techserve, Inc. (Mapua Techserve); Pan Pacific Computer Center, Incorporated (PPCC); and People eServe Corporation (People eServe). iPeople was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the world’s “200 Best under a Billion” companies in 2003 and 2004. Incidentally, only two Philippine companies made it to the 2003 and 2004 registers.

(PPCC) was formed in 2005 to address the growing demand for Customer and Data Analytics services. It initially started to service the needs of the Yuchengco Group of Companies (YGC) and later on expanded to serve the local and international market. Services offered by Infinite Intelligence are Customer Analytics services focusing on Customer Segmentation, Product Association, and Cross Sell / Up Sell and Data Quality services focusing on Data Cleansing, Data Profiling, Data Standardization and Data Integration. Infinite Intelligence team is composed of data quality analysts, statisticians, marketing and technical consultants using the latest tools and most advance technologies. People eServe Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of iPeople, Inc., incorporated last July 17, 2001 as an IT company, and was reorganized in July 1, 6 2002 to venture into specific IT projects, which include providing PC maintenance services, reselling IT equipment and marketing various products and services developed by Malayan Colleges Inc. (MCI) In 2004, People eServe focused on expanding its business in IT equipment maintenance and IT equipment reselling. In support of its expansion programs, People eServe filed for the increase of its authorized capital stock from P1.00 million to P5.00 million in 2004. This was approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission on December 21, 2004.
The Mapúa Institute of Technology, referred to informally as Mapúa, is the country’s leading technology-focused school. It is the biggest in the Philippines accounting for over 8% of engineering graduates every year, with over 15,000 students in college level. Mapua has an enviable record topnotch performance in the government-administered board examinations. This is one unmistakable evidence of the quality and value of a Mapua education, a fact validated by the grant of “deregulated status” by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in 2001 and the grant of “level II 2nd re-accreditation status” by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities - Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) in the same year. To concretize its intentions of achieving international standards, the Institute has started the process of voluntarily submitting itself for evaluation by a globally recognized standards body in engineering and technology education.
